The 15,000 Scotia Rewards® bonus points are awarded when you use your ScotiaGold Passport VISA card for a purchase within two months of open date and provided the account is open and in good standing. The points will appear as an adjustment on your VISA statement within two statement cycles of your first card purchase. The introductory 1.99% rate is applicable on cash advances, balance transfers and Scotia® VISA cheques only. This rate takes effect when the account is opened and will then continue for six months from that date. During the promotional period, the regular interest rate applies to purchases. After the promotional period, the rate for your balances that were at 1.99% will increase to the regular interest rate. The introductory $99 annual fee only applies to the initial annual fee for the primary card, which is charged at the time the card is issued. The balance transfer fee (that is regularly 1% of the balance transfer amount, effective April 1, 2011) is waived for this offer. Rates and fees are subject to change without notice.
